Pre-launch / in formation
Useful things.Unexpectedworlds.
OrynSpire is an early-stage studio, still paused before launch, exploring where practical software and strange, playable ideas might meet.
01 — What we are looking at
Four directions, still open.
These are lines of inquiry, not a portfolio. Nothing here is released, sold, or promised.
- 01
Software & apps
Small tools that remove a step from someone’s day. Quiet interfaces, clear purpose, nothing extra.
- 02
Interactive games
Compact worlds with one strong rule. Systems you learn by touching them, not by reading about them.
- 03
Creative media
Image, sound and text experiments. Sketches that might become something, or might simply teach us.
- 04
AI workflows
Careful, inspectable ways of using models for real work — with a human deciding what stays.
02 — A closer look
The questions behind each.
Choose a direction to read what we are curious about, and what we are deliberately not doing yet.
Direction 01
Software that earns its place.
What is the smallest tool that genuinely helps? One possible direction: utilities for notes, planning and personal organisation, judged by whether they would help in everyday use.
- Curious about
- Offline-first design, plain files, fast startup.
- Not yet
- Any public release or download.
Direction 02
Games built around one idea.
A possible starting point: a single mechanic that carries a whole experience. Small prototypes would help test whether the idea is worth developing.
- Curious about
- Spatial puzzles, short sessions, readable systems.
- Not yet
- A finished or playable public title.
Direction 03
Media as a working sketchbook.
An interest in visual, written and audio experiments — mood, tone, the feel of a world before it exists.
- Curious about
- Geometric form, restrained palettes, short fiction.
- Not yet
- Published collections or commissions.
Direction 04
AI with the seams showing.
An ambition for workflows with visible steps, human review and clear ways to recover from mistakes. We want to understand where models help and where they quietly get in the way.
- Curious about
- Review loops, local-first pipelines, honest limits.
- Not yet
- Any service offered to others.
03 — How the studio thinks
Approach & preview notes.
Studio approach
Principles
Why so small?
Small scope keeps ideas honest. A tiny thing that works teaches more than a large plan that doesn’t.
Why four directions at once?
They could inform each other. Game systems can inspire tool design; media can shape a world’s tone; workflows could support careful experiments.
How are ideas chosen?
A proposed starting point: can the idea be explained in one sentence, and does it remain useful after the initial excitement?
